Swoosh English is an online e-learning platform aimed specifically at non-native English teachers to help them improve their English for moving, working, and studying abroad. Our core business revolves around test preparation, namely the IELTS, OET & PTE tests. We offer online affordable, universally accessible and convenient test preparation solutions for these exams. We also support businesses and organisations required to assist candidates and employees in passing these exams, namely recruiters and agencies, universities and hospitals.

The problems and issues prior to implementing Xero
Swoosh English operated a very manual accounting process, which was inefficient and time-consuming. We used Xero on a very basic level but did not have the internal resources or skills to collate invoices and costs and make sense of them via reports. As such, our accounting was very haphazard and needed work to be fir for purpose for our scaling and ever more complex business.
The wish list and selection of software you considered and how important was the decision of opting a cloud-based solution
We needed a solution that would give us all the accounting features that a functioning business needed (P&L reports, balance sheets, management reports etc), corporate invoicing, and bank integrations, plus an excellent team to pull all of this together for us and monitor and inform us of insights (thanks Fresh), plus instant and user-friendly access.
The solution and why Xero and Dext was selected
Xero was the go-to solution for accounting, but next was a very nice recommendation by the Fresh team to allow us to process payments on the go and nicely integrate with Xero.
